Our Story
From 1900 all the way to 2024, AssetFlow was born out of an ever-growing need for innovation and efficiency.
AssetFlow was founded by Mac & Tristian.
They created a dynamic team that blends software development, asset management, and sustainability.
CAMA is founded in 1937
C & M Apostolides - later abbreviated to CAMA - is registered after starting life trading in exports in the 1900s.
Developing the CAMA Group
Michaele 'Mac' Apostolides becomes the Director of the family business and focuses on developing storage and warehousing facilities.
Using tech for problem solving
Tristian starts a career in I.T., focusing on creative problem solving and supporting SMEs with their business needs.
Joining forces
With a growing business, Tristian provides I.T. services and support to the CAMA Group - this marks the start of a dependable I.T. infrastructure that would underpin the growth of the business.
Branching out into film and TV
With a proven track record in storage and warehousing, the CAMA Group formally names its managed storage facilities "AssetStore" and branches out into the film and TV industry. This marks the beginning of a journey providing specialist asset management for props, sets, and costumes.
Investing in our tech
Tristian starts working with Abed Alsaidi, both sharing a passion for cloud computing and modular programming. Together, they start to work on a storage management portal for the CAMA Group.
CAMA Portal is launched
CAMA launches Version 1 of their storage portal, the earliest iteration of what AssetFlow has gone on to become. This allowed storage customers to manage their inventories online.
Film & TV reuse booms as CAMA helps studios avoid landfill
The popularity of the CAMA Portal provides a convenient way for productions & studios to keep better track of their assets, reusing, reselling, and rehoming where possible.
Platform automations improve CAMA’s efficiency
Continued development of the platform leads to automated solutions for warehouse management - improving customer service and scalability.
AssetFlow is formally founded
The demand is clear - an integrated software solution is needed in order to enable productions and studios to better manage their assets. AssetFlow is officially registered in October 2020.
Going beyond storage
Tristian & Abed develop the AssetFlow Cloud; a singular multi-faceted system designed to service the demands of studios, productions and suppliers in one integrated platform. This looks at asset management at all stages of film and TV.
Changing asset management as we know it
The first official version of the stand-alone AssetFlow platform is launched. 100,000 assets are migrated from the CAMA Storage Portal into the AssetFlow system, unlocking countless future uses beyond warehouse inventories alone.
Scaling up, boosting efficiency, enabling circularity
This takes us to today. After pilot testing on set with some of the most iconic names in film and TV, we are proud to launch our fully integrated asset management software. Targeted at the entire production lifecycle, we are working with props, sets, and costumes all the way from pre-production to shooting and beyond.
