At a glance
Two Band 3 HETV productions, piloting AssetFlow, based on soundstages and across multiple locations.
The aim was to: enable reuse; cut costs associated with wrap, and save crew time and stress when preparing asset lists.
How has it worked?
Training for crew across the art, costume, props, set dec, production management, construction, and sustainability departments.
Logging of all physical materials (general items, hero assets, on/off camera usage, product placement).
Automatic uploads from existing continuity software and accounts ledgers.
Proposals and approvals functionality for crew to coordinate wrap planning with production executives, enabling easy sign-offs.
Sustainability-led workflows, helping coordinators to efficiently plan for reuse and recycling.

What have we achieved?
Universal inventory
These productions are able to create a universal, cross-production inventory of all assets with tailored views depending on department, set, character, and usage.
Reuse and sustainability
The sustainability teams have gained better prep time to organise reuse and recycling. This diverts assets from landfill, avoids carbon emissions, and enables cost recovery come wrap.
Reducing workload
Departments have removed the need to rely on duplicate versions of static, clunky spreadsheets for their asset lists, reducing workload for time-poor crew.
Full lifecycle tracking
AssetFlow is giving the productions “one source of the truth” with a full history of each asset. This tracks acquisition, usage, and eventual disposition, enhancing traceability.
